Doris Marie King

Mrs. Doris Marie King age 94, of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She was born July 12, 1922 to the late Leslie J. and Anna F. (Halsema) Batchelder, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. King was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and had moved to Keystone Heights in 1954 from Jacksonville; she was Episcopalian, and enjoyed working around her house and in the yard. Her husband of 60 years, William King, Sr. had preceded her in death in 2001. Her survivors are two sons and their spouses, William "Bill" King, Jr. (Linda) of Keystone Heights and Terry L. King (Katie) Nashville, Tennessee; she was also "Nana" and "Grandma" to four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Graveside with Father Harold Ritchie officiating. Interment will be at Keystone Heights Cemetery.
