Mrs. Doris Louise Earing Klein, age 101 of Keystone Heights passed away at her home Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was born on November 29, 1924, in Westford, New York, to Alfred and Susie (Baldwin) Earing.

Mrs. Klein began her career by working in the John I. Leonard school cafeteria and after moving to Keystone Heights many years ago, she continued making children smile as she saw them come through the cafeteria. She especially loved making sure all the football players were fed prior to their games in the 1980's and 90's.

Her kitchen was always filled with the sweet aroma of her famous baked treats made from scratch, and she never missed a chance to spoil her family, friends, and those she didn't even know with her delicious desserts.

In addition to her baking, Doris was an avid reader, often finding herself lost in the many books she read from the local library. She loved cheering on her favorite football teams, watched NASCAR races with great enthusiasm, and enjoyed listening to country music. Her heart was big enough to care for many animals throughout her life, and she advocated for their well-being.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Edward Klein, sons, Paul, Phillip, and Leroy, grandchildren Wayne and Kimberly Klein, Ray Paddock, Jr. and his wife Denai Paddock, and son in-law Ray Paddock.

Doris is survived by her sons, Thomas of Brunswick, Georgia, Robert of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Theadore of Wichita, Kansas, along with a daughter Mary Paddock of Keystone Heights.

She was also known affectionately as "Nanny," to her 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
