Mrs. Doris M. Moore age 92, a lifelong resident of Bradford County passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Starke. She was born in Lawtey on September 8, 1922 to the late Oliver L. and Sarah R. (Woods) Brown and was a member of Sampson City Church of God. Mrs. Moore was mostly a homemaker but had also worked at Bradford Furniture and was a seamstress at Big Dad Sewing Factory. Her daughter Gloria May had preceded her in death. Mrs. Moores survivors are her seven children and their spouses, Sharon Carlton, Wayne Moore (Suzie), Kathy Bennett (Doug), Cindy Wheeler (Jimmy), and Donna Elixson (Kevin) all of Starke, Ann Arflin of Pensacola, and Teresa Martin (Richard) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Also left behind are twenty grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Sampson City Church of God with the viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Gene Bass and Bro. Alton Coleman will be officiating. Interment will follow services at Crosby Lake Cemetery.
