Mrs. Dorothy Hobbs Atteberry, 94 of Middleburg, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 in Orange Park. Mrs. Atteberry was born December 26, 1928 in Weymouth, Massachusetts to parents Thomas Arthur and Eleanor Lillian (Kenney) Hibbs. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, gardening, doing crossword puzzles and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Atteberry and her sister Phyllis Nickerson. Survivors are her daughter, Phyllis Scott of Middleburg, son, Tom Atteberry of Monroe, LA, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Scott of Middleburg. The family will hold a time of visitation Monday, August 14, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Hickory Grove Cemetery with Pastor Larry Carter officiating.
