Dorothy L. Ballew, 83, a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville and Callahan went home to be with the Lord May 4, 2014. Dorothy was a home maker, but held other employment outside the home from time to time, and was a member of the Nazarene Church. She was predeceased by her husband Otis "Pat" Ballew and is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Crews (Woody), and her son Jody O. Ballew (Carla) both of Callahan, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews and many great nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 10th in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main St., Jacksonville, FL 32206 with her nephew Randall Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
