Dorothy Frances Campbell Blount Dorothy Frances Campbell Blount, was a Jacksonville native born March 29, 1919 and passed away peacefully June 2, 2013 in her hometown. She was predeceased in 1970 by her husband, Thomas Wilie Blount Jr. She is survived by their three children, Richard Wiley Blount, Diane Blount Shurm (Bill), and Linda Blount Thompson. Four grandchildren, Kevin T. OBrien, Kelly S. Christy (Rob), Robyn J. Thompson, and Leslie A. Thompson, two step-grandchildren Katie S. Reekie (Scott), and Brooke S. Poquadeck, and eight great grandchildren. Dorothy and her husband, Tommy founded T. W. Blount Jr. & Son Contracting Company in 1955, which is still in business today, and she remained very active in the business until her death. She was christened at St. Gabtiels Episcopal Church in Titusville, Florida where she worshiped regularly while maintaining a second residence on her houseboat there. She was a licensed single engine pilot and mariner. Dorothy was a Mother to many by hostessing neighborhood swimming parties with live bands and family gatherings while running a business from our home. Many lives have been blessed by her presence and generosity. We will be forever grateful for her guidance, love, support, and encouragement throughout our lives in all that we do. This in only goodbye for now Mama, until we meet again. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Christ Episcopal Church, 400 San Juan Drive, Ponte Verdra, Florida. Committal services and interment is to be held Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 2116 Garden St. Titusville, Florida. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimers Association in Dorothys honor. George H.
