Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Catherine Scott, 94, will be held at 10:00a.m. Friday, from the graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Dr. Terry N. Collins of Southpoint Baptist Church officiating. Born June 6, 1927 in Daytona Beach, Florida to Margueritta Mims Neal and Cicero R. Neal, Mrs. Scott died Monday, October 25, 2021 in Jacksonville. Dorothy was a retired Insurance Underwriter. She was a longtime resident of Jacksonville where she was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 42 and attended San Jose Baptist Church. Mrs. Scott was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Coleman Scott in 1964; also by her children Neal Coleman Scott and Catherine Doughty; and three sisters, Helen Ledig, Shirley McCormack, and Ruth Davis. Survivors include two grandsons, Christopher Neal Scott of Cumming, GA and Scott C. Doughty of Jacksonville; a sister, Evelyn Freshwater of Jacksonville and a brother Carl Ellis Neal of Savannah, GA.
