Mrs. Dorothy Neal Lawton, 81 of Orange Park, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Mrs. Lawton was born November 30, 1940 in Cranberry West Virginia to parents Loren James and Josephine (Jones) Neal. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange Park and had served as guidance secretary for the Duval County School Board. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, reading and loved to go camping and playing softball. She will be remembered as being a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Lawton, son, James Lawton, and siblings, Betty Neal, Eddy Neal, and Jimmy Neal. Survivors are her son, Christopher Lawton (Denise) and granddaughter Ashley Zehner (Josh). Services will be announced in the near future.
