Dorothy Jane Mcduffie

MCDUFFIE: Dorothy Jane McDuffie, 84, passed away on June 30, 2018. She was born in Wallace, North Carolina and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She was an active member of North Main Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 50 years and had retired as a Secretary for the Duval County Public Schools. Her last assignment was at James Weldon Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brother, the late James "Buddy" Kennedy; Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Ossie McDuffie; One daughter, Sharon McDuffie Hansen (Phillip); Two sons, Randy K. McDuffie (Kathy) and Todd P. McDuffie; One sister, Thelma Hardison; One granddaughter, Devon Hanson; four grandsons, Cody Hanson, Blaine Hanson, Devin McDuffie and Caden McDuffie. The family would like to say a special Thank You for the courteous and loving care provided to Mrs. McDuffie by the staff of St. Catherines Laboure Manor. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 (904)355-9545 with Rev. Dan Elkins officiating.
