Dorothy (Dottie) Mae Scoglio, 92, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024. She was born on July 3, 1931, in Goochland, Virginia.Dottie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Romulus Dante Scoglio, Sr, step son, Anthony Scoglio, parents Maldon, Sr and Mary Duncan, sister Margaret Simmons, brothers George Duncan, Maldon Duncan, Jr and Ernest Duncan.Dottie is survived by her loving family: her sons Romulus Dante Scoglio, Jr wife Yudi, Thomas Steven Scoglio wife Janet, Paul Edward Scoglio and daughter Tina Marie Haynes husband Michael. Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three on the way. Many nieces and nephews and is also survived by her sister Barbara Ann Ross.Dottie was a devoted wife and mother. She lived and raised her family in the Washington, DC area until 1984, then relocated to Gainesville, Florida to enjoy retirement with her husband.
