Mr. Doyle Dewitt Crews, age 95 of Starke passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024. Mr. Crews was born on August 26, 1928 in Starke to Kirby and Carrie (Wainwright) Crews. He graduated from Bradford High School and joined the United States Air Force. Mr. Crews served in both the Korean and Vietnam war, was a retired Veteran after his 20 years of service. After his military service Doyle worked for the Department of Corrections for over 25 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Zella Jacqueline (Jackie) Rouse Crews, infant son Daniel Terrance, son Doyle D. Crews Jr., and his brothers J.G. Crews, Harold A. Crews and sister Madeline Dukes. Mr. Crews survivors are his daughter Zella Diane Castany (Carlos) of Miami, Timothy D. Crews of Crestview, and Michael D. Crews of Zephyrhills. Grandchildren Jaclin R. Castany of Nevada, Zara E. Castany of New York, and Matthew D. Crews (Kelli) of Gainesville and two great-grandchildren Eliora and Elijah Crews.
