HOGAN: Funeral services for Dr. Roger Byron Hogan Sr., 75, who passed away on March 4, 2022, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Dr. E. Winson Butler officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday (Today) from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Dr. Hogan was a native of Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident. He was an Optometrist by trade and was a 1973 graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee with honors. He was a member of the Christian faith and was active with the Arlington Lions Club for over 60 years receiving their highest award given. He was preceded in death by his loving wife the late Faye Hogan, and brother, Cabel Marsh Hogan; Survivors include his daughter, Leigha Marie Hogan; 2 sons, Roger Byron Hogan Jr., (Tristan), and Jonathan Scott Hogan (Erin); 1 sister, Eleanor Hogan Woytek (Arthur); 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Hogan, Makayla Hogan, Sophia Hogan, Sadie Hogan, and Savannah Hogan. 2 nieces, Deborah Duke and Kimberly Christley.
