Crews: Funeral services for E. C. Crews Sr., 89, who passed away on April 12, 2023, will be held Tuesday April 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard South, Jacksonville, FL 32216, with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Crews was born in Jasper, Florida and was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had retired from JEA as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, the late Tommie L. Crews and grandson, Rod Crews; Survivors include his 2 sons, E. C. Crews Jr., (Deborah) and Ronnie C. Crews (Rose); 2 sisters, Barbara Link and Gracie Holbrook; 2 grandchildren, Patrick Crews and Christensen; 3 great-grandchildren, Johnny Stuart Crews, Logan Crews, and Cameron Christensen.
