Earl W. Crawford

Mr. Earl William Crawford age 89, of Jasper formerly of Union County passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. Mr. Crawford was born on September 10, 1927 in Bradford County to the late William "Pete" Crawford and Amelia (Barker) Crawford. Earl served as a deacon for Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed carpentry often making gifts for his family. He taught his children to be versatile, loved to repair things and help others. Prior to retirement he worked for the Bradford County Road Department as a supervisor and heavy equipment operator. Preceding him in death were his wives, Warrenetta Knight Crawford, Evelyn Brannen Crawford, son: Michael Crawford, siblings: Clair Berger, Gerald Crawford, J.B. Crawford and Edward Crawford. Survivors are: his wife, Katie Hunter Crawford of Jasper, daughter, Gail Crawford of Lake Butler, sons: Douglas Crawford (Bonnie) of Pocono, Maryland, Randall Crawford (Marian) of Lake Butler and Broderick Crawford of Port Charlotte. Also left behind are his siblings, Larry Crawford (Dorrie) of Starke, Doris "Jean" Martin of Gainesville, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Graveside funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Dyal Cemetery, County Road 229 West, Starke with Pastor Jimmy Thornton officiating.
