Earnest "Earnie" Neal Cauley

Mr. Earnest Neal "Earnie" Cauley age 55, of Keystone Heights passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville following a long illness. He was born in Baxley, Georgia on September 10, 1961 to the late Edgar and Margaret (Starling) Cauley, Sr., and had been a resident of the Bradford County and Keystone Heights areas for a longtime. Ernie retired from the Department of Corrections as a C.O. Sargent and was a member of Fresh Start Fellowship Church and Amvets Post 86 both in Keystone Heights. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan and he loved fishing, listening to gospel music, cooking, definitely socializing, but most of all, Earnie was a caring and giving person with a big heart. He is survived by his two daughters, Lauren Cauley (Stephen) of Keystone Heights and Amanda Yarbrough of Lake Butler; one sister, Elaine Lott (Donnie) of Keystone Heights; three brothers, Jimmy Cauley (Shelley) of Gainesville, Georgia, Kenny Cauley (Saralyn) of Morrisville, North Carolina and Eddie Cauley of Leesburg. Also left behind are three grandchildren and one grandchild on the way along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services for Earnie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Middleburg with Brother Donnie Lott officiating.
