Edgar "Whitey" Alexander Marshall, 82, of Gainesville, passed away February 24, 2012 in Palm Coast surrounded by family. Edgar was born in Clearwater, FL and has been a lifelong resident of Gainesville.He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, retired from Southern Bell and a member of the Gainesville Hunting Club.Edgar is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Marshall and daughter Mary Marshall. He is survived by son Edgar A. Marshall, II (Anita) of Palm Coast, daughter Kimberly Hoehn of Gainesville, brothers Conrad Marshall, Caldwell Marshall, and Alfred Marshall, grandchildren Chrissy Marshall, Michael Hoehn, and Brett Hoehn.Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Rd., Gainesville, FL.
