Edith Gale Thrash, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away on June 6, 2021 at 77 years of age, after an extended illness. Gale was born on June 8, 1943 in Gainesville FL to Floyd Clifton Stevenson , a WWII Veteran, and Edna Mae (Moseley) Stevenson, a Civil Servant. Both preceded her in death. In high school, Gale lead her majorette troop as Head Majorette. In the years raising her two children, she studied at Bradford Technical School and became a successful cosmetologist. Her profession served her well, as she traveled the country and the world. Her skills were in demand anywhere she landed. Her many interests and additional job profession, found her dancing, playing cards, cooking, and traveling. While working for Lockheed Martin she was chosen to work a detail on the Space Shuttle Challenger, a very prestigious invitation. Gale is survived by two children and their spouses. A daughter, Michelle Smith Grabowski and son-in-law Edward G. Grabowski Jr., and a son, Kirby Steven Smith and daughter-in-law Susie Woodard Smith. 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 13 great grandchildren. Also, a sister, Nancy Deborah Aragon and brother-in-law Jimmy Aragon, and a niece and nephew. A celebration of life will be held for Gale on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 1 pm. Please join us at the Womens Club of Keystone Heights, 6747 Womans Club Dr, Keystone Heights, FL 32656 where we will share memories and a late afternoon lunch.
