Edith May Hudspeth Hilburn Waters, 96, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2018 in Jacksonville. She was born December 13, 1921 in Battle Creek, Michigan and had been a resident of Jacksonville since 1962.She leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Millicent Styles, grandson-in-law, Kevin and great grandson, Cole of Cumming, GA and her daughter-in-law, Betty Hilburn of Decatur, GA, as well as many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Brian Hilburn, her granddaughter Heide Hilburn, first husband, Alton Hilburn and her second husband, William Waters.Edith will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a devoted Christian with a servants heart. She rang the bell for the Salvation Army alongside her husband William for 20 years. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and the Belote Bible Class. Her beloved church family was incredibly generous with their time and love, allowing Edith to remain independent in her home in her final years. She also had a passion for animals and adored her sweet kitties.Crypt-side services will be held on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 11:00am in Oaklawn Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Scott Farman of Lakewood United Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers, and if desired, memorials may be made to Cathedral Foundation, Steve Graham Legacy Fund To Benefit Meals On Wheels, 4250 Lakeside Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32210.Arrangements are under the direction of George H.
