Edward "Ed" Earl Bryant

Mr. Edward E. "Ed" Bryant, Jr. age 86, of Melrose passed away at his home Monday, September 12, 2016. He was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the late Edward and Daisy Belle (Hardy) Bryant, Sr., and he was a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Bryant worked as a Salesman in the Automobile and Mobile Home industries; he had also been a truck driver. Mr. Bryant attended Living Hope Family Worship Center in Florahome, AmVets Post in Keystone Heights and he loved to go fishing. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Freda Bryant in 2015. His survivors are four children and their spouses; Tamra White (Kerry Flanagan) of Keystone Heights, Dale Bryant (Diana) of St. Augustine, Edward E. Bryant, III (Deborah) of Tyler, Texas and Gregory Bryant of Jackson, Mississippi. Also left behind is one sister, Melgwen Bryant of Canton, Mississippi along with eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Bryant will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
