Edward Charles Burns

Edward (Ed) Charles Burns, son of Charles Francis Burns and Virginia Cox Burns, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan Jenkins Burns; his children, Ted, Kelli Neufeld, and Tom; his son-in-law, Kirk and daughters-in-law, Amy and Meghan; and his 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Kaden, Jackson, Ryder, and Charlotte.He served his country for 3 years in the army in Vietnam. He then worked for New England Tel & Bell South for 32 years. He spent his last 12 years enjoying the beautiful log home that he built in Tennessee amidst the great outdoors that he loved so much.Mr. Burns will be honored in the Jacksonville National Cemetery on November 13th. Flowers will not be accepted at the cemetery and should be sent directly to the family..
