Edward Joseph Whelan

Edward Joseph Whelan, 80, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on October 22, 2020. Ed was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 3, 1940 to Joseph and Mary Whelan. Ed was married to Beverly for 12 years. Ed worked as a systems Analyst for General Electric Lighting Division. He enjoyed nature walks and gardening. He was actively involved in St. Madeleine Catholic Church. Ed is survived by his son, David Whelan, High Springs, FL; daughter, Wendy (Michael) Dickson, Columbus, Ohio; grandsons, Kyle Dickson and Cameron Dickson, both from Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Madeleine Catholic Church, 17155 NW US Hwy 441, High Springs, FL 32643. A private memorial will be held at a later time.
