Edward Alan Staley, 89, of Gainesville, FL, passed away on October 18, 2012.He was born on February 3, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA to Merton G. Staley and Minnie Florence Oakley. Mr. Staley served in thearmyduring WW II and later retired from the Steel Industry as a Draftsman. Mr. Staley attended First Church of the Nazarene in Gainesville.He is survived by his wife, Virginia M. Staley, son Ken Staley of Tulsa, OK and daughter, Diane Bragg of Lake City, FL, sister, Carol Nomides of Pittsburgh, PA, grandchildren, Rebekah and Michael and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Nathan.A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL with Rev.
