Edward Strzykalski, 88, died on Monday, May 20, 2013 in Gainesville, FL.Edward was born in Camden, NJ on June 17, 1924 to Joseph and Gertrude Golla Strzykalski.He lived in Pennsauken, where he owned and operator a Full Service Gas Station and later in Palm Bay and Ft. Pierce, FL where he sold gas at his Convenience Store-Service Stations. He watched the Gas Station Evolve into what we know it today, from the stores of yester-years.Edward was a hard working man and taught his 3 sons the benefits of hard work ethics.He was a kind but no nonsense kinda guy.Edward was a Veteran-Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army.He was a Catholic and his faith and work ethics spoke volumes for the man he was.Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Eleanor.He is survived by three sons and daughter in laws, Joseph and Barbara, Gerald and Barbara, and Ronald and Theresa, his sister Gertrude and her husband Stanley Swigoda, and seven grandchildren.Edward will be buried in St. Joe's Cemetery in New Jersey.In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hospice in your area.
