Mrs. Edythe Patricia "Pat" Albritton, beloved wife of Brigadier General (ret.) James "Paul" Albritton for more than 70 years, passed away on April 2, 2024, in Gainesville, FL, at the age of 91 in the loving arms of her family. Pat was born on December 6, 1932, in Jacksonville, Florida, to James and Thelma Harrell. She was a loving mother to Lynn Albritton Lynch (Mike), Lee Albritton, and Carol Albritton LeBus (Larry). She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren (Kayla House, Allison Menzies, Nathan Albritton, and Regan LeBus), and great-grandchildren (Jackson and Logan House, and Eden and Liam Menzies), and her sister, Thea Harrell Wells.Pat was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School (Class of 1950), a Sweetheart of Sigma Chi, and a proud member of the Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville, FL. Known for her role as a devoted US Air Force wife, Pat was also a cherished member of the many communities in which she lived. She was a kind and generous soul, known for her exceptional hostess skills, love of all holidays, decorating and arranging flowers of all kinds, and being surrounded by her family. She enjoyed hobbies such as reading, crosswords and puzzles, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with candy, cookies, and hugs.A celebration of life for Mrs. Albritton will be held at Westside Baptist Church (10000 W. Newberry Road, Gainesville FL) on Friday, April 5, 2024, with visitation beginning at 1:00pm and the service following at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date, and private for the family. Contributions can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in her memory. Pat will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but we know she will always live on in our hearts.
