Elbert G. Jordan of Gainesville passed away on November 2, 2017, 3 months before his 102nd Birthday. Elbert was born February 11, 1916 in Chula, Georgia.Elbert's beloved wife of 55 years, Floye, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters Faye Glass (Jim), Joan Ikerd (James),sons John and Rick Jordan, grandchildren Dana Taylor (Randy), Blake Glass (Ashley), Eric Jordan, Denise and Hunter Ikerd, great grandchildren Brook and Logan Taylor, Jacob Glass, Tyler, Lexi, Krystal and Jordan Glass.Elbert was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Upshaw (Jimmy) and one grandson, Scott Glass (Tracy)Elbert had a beloved sweetheart Lula Michael who was a special person in his life for the past eleven years.Elbert enlisted in the US Army in 1937 and served in the Panama Canal Zone and then fought in World War II in France. He was a wonderful, loving, devoted, caring daddy and he will be remembered for his sweet easygoing personality.His service will be November 8, 2017 at the Forest Meadows Mausoleum, 4100 NW 39th Avenue. Gainesville, FL.
