Obituary

Mrs. Eleanor Avey LeTohic 96, a longtime resident of Keystone Heights went to be with her Lord on January 17, 2012. Mrs. LeTohic was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 28, 1925 to the late Henry Alfred John and Alice (MacAlpine) Avey. Becoming a Christian in her teens, eventually led Mrs. LeTohic to become a Sunday School Teacher. Her class consisted of forty 2-3 year olds. After a period of time her experience gave her opportunity to share her ideas with other Sunday School teachers at fifteen different Sunday School conferences. She was a Pioneer Girls guide as well. Her deepest concern was that children and their parents would come to Jesus surrendering their lives to Him. Her life had revolved around her husband, family and guests. She enjoyed painting in oil many of the vistas she and her husband Henry had seen in their world wide travels. They also provided a vacation spot for their grandchildren in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. She was a diligent grandmother, even at a distance, always looking for ways to teach the next generation. Her lifes motto was Lord willing wanting Gods will always. Mrs. LeTohic had struggled with a trick knee, glaucoma, macular degeneration and memory loss, but still had that same Gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. (I Peter 3:4). Mrs. LeTohic was a member of the Park of the Palms Church and was a very content person. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry LeTohic, and her brother Harold Avey. Surviving her are her daughters; Alyca L. Leet and her husband Jim of Walker, Iowa, and Paulette L. Cotter and her husband Alan of Oneonta, NY. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:30 P.M. at the Keystone Heights Cemetery with Mr. Larry Henderson officiating. Viewing will begin at 2:00 P.M. at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
