Mrs. Elinor Lorene Edlin Roberts age 92, of Keystone Heights passed away at her home Sunday, July 16, 2017. She was born in Farmington, Illinois on August 19, 1924 to the late Rev. Marion and Anna (Burgoyne) Edlin. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Roberts had been and elementary school teacher for 21 years, and was also a volunteer missionary. In 1990, Mrs. Roberts and her husband moved to Keystone Heights from Miami; she had been a member of First Baptist Church for over 25 years and volunteered over 500 hours with hospice. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Roberts and a brother, Donald E. Edlin. Survivors are her two sons and their spouses, Thomas W. Roberts (Carol) of Wedowee, Alabama and Ralph W. Roberts (Dixie) of Seymour, Tennessee; one brother, Dr. Gerald E. Edlin (Linda) of Lynchburg, Virginia. Also left behind are three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 20, 2017 between 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services for Mrs. Roberts will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Findley officiating. A private interment will follow at Keystone Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
