Elizabeth"Libby" Daws St. Jacques was welcomed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 18, 2017. She was born on July 17, 1925 to George Washington Daws and Gertrude Ross Daws in Rosedale, Mississippi. She was preceded in her homecoming to Heaven by her lifelong friend and husband for 62 yearsErnest Howard St. Jacques in 2008. Libby andErnie have four children; John, Gregory, Aleta and Joel; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Libby has two surviving siblings; CharlesMcElwee and Nell McDiffet. Three siblings; Georgene Reed, Jane Bennett and Ann Davis preceded Libby in their passing.Libby was a wonderful, loving, devoted and caring Mom who generously gave of herself to her children. She valued education and served as an administrative office assistant at J.J. Finley for many years. Libby and Ernie were very active members of Westside Baptist Church Gainesville since 1966.Libby loved singing in the choir, going on Mission Trips and fellowshipping with her friends in the Senior's Ministry."Miss Libby" was apersistent Prayer Warrior who loved praying for the needs of family, friends and anyone she knew needed God's help. She fearlessly shared her faith with those she encountered and livedconfidently knowing that her eternal home was heaven.A viewing celebrating her life will be located at Forest Meadows Funeral Home,725 NW 23rd Avenuefrom 10 AM to Noon on October 21st. Services celebrating her eternal life will be held at 3 PM at Westside Baptist Church,10000 W. NewberryRoad Gainesville FL, on Saturday October 21st. Internment will follow theservice at Forest Meadows Memorial Park West on County Road 241 Jonesville FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toWestside Baptist Church / Missions Program.
