Elizabeth Joan McClellan Elizabeth Joan McClellan (76) went home to Glory on May 23, 2013. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on September 24, 1936. She was preceded to Heaven by her parents, Aaron Clyde Crews Sr. and Elizabeth Hysler Crews and her brother; Aaron Clyde Crews Jr. She leaves behind her sister, Charlette Crews (Clyde), her four sons, Danny J. Jones (Dianne), David B. Jones Sr., William (Bill) B. McClellan III (Renee) and Mark A. McClellan (Judy). She had five grandchildren, Rex G. Hardin, Peyton McClellan, Roxanna Williams, David B. Jones Jr., and Daniel A. McClellan. She also had five great-grandchildren: Theresa, Brandon and Gavin Hardin, Matthew Jr, and Angela Williams and was soon to be a great-great-grandmother. She quit work to raise her sons and two of her grandchildren. Before that she was a LPN and also worked at Southern Bell. She was known in the Panama Terrace neighborhood and in the Springfield area as Grandma or Granny and took pleasure in caring for other people. She was loved by many. Services will be held at Springfield Baptist Church, where she was a long time member, on Saturday, May 25 at 10:00 AM. Dr. Kenneth Roe and Reverend Frank J. Pintello Jr. will be officiating. Arrangements under the direction of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206, where the family will be receiving friends from 6:30 PM " 8:30 PM( Today) at the funeral home.
