STOECKEL: Funeral services for Elizabeth C. Stoeckel, 80, who passed away on November 9, 2023, will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM from the graveside in Jacksonville National Cemetery with Rev. Randall Griffis officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon. Mrs. Stoeckel was born in Lake City, Florida and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies and her family and she enjoyed gardening and loved life. She was preceded in death by her 2 sons, David Kick, Michael Kick; and son-in-law, J.R. Vasquez; brother, Roger Carter and sisters, Joan Gilliard and Jane Burney; Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Frank R. Stoeckel; 3 daughters, Tina Love, Michelle Vasquez and Judy Carter (John); 4 sisters, Julia Vogel, Nancy Suddeath, Lorraine Messer, and Glenda Terrell; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Johnson, Jordan Wilburn, Macaelyn Carter and Gavin Carter; 3 great-grandchildren, Hayley Johnson, Taylor Johnson and Nicholas Profitt; 1 great-great-grandson, Talon and a little baby girl on the way named Opel.
