Elizabeth Louise Wright Williams "Betty" April 21, 1917 - February 13, 2015 Betty's quiet and gentle spirit was such a blessing. She was independent, intelligent, thoughtful, friendly and sociable. Born in Augusta, GA, she also enjoyed the family home in Beaufort, SC. She served as a decoder in the Navy during WWII and received a B.A. in Biology from Shorter College and a Master's in Botany from USC. She was married to Earl for sixty-six years; they enjoyed many laughs together, shared various hobbies, raised three children, and had four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Betty was a public school teacher, a master gardener, president of the local garden club in Baltimore, MD and grew beautiful flowers and delicious and nutritious vegetables. The family certainly enjoyed the home-grown meals she prepared in her calm and humble way. She enjoyed sitting on the porch in Jacksonville, FL in her later years where her gentleness made her a wonderful person to live with.
