Mrs. Ella Gertrude Adelheid BaumannMrs. Ella Gertrude Adelheid Baumann age 91, of Melrose passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at her residence. She was born on December 25, 1920 in Meesow, Germany to the late Erich and Johanna (Krueger) Braun and moved to Melrose 4 years ago from Germany. She was a Lutheran by faith but attended Trinity Baptist Church. Ella enjoyed taking walks, her cats, and her dog. Prior to retirement she was a professional seamstress, worked as a nurse in Germany for the Red Cross during the War and after the war took care of her neighbors. Mrs. Baumann was preceded in death by her husbands Otto Kirchhoff and Karl-Heinz Baumann, her son, Walter Baumann and son-in-law Chuck Willis. Survivors are her daughters: Kitty Willis and Hannelor Gulbeault all of Melrose; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Baptist Church in Keystone Heights with Pastor with Pastor Scott Stanland officiating.
