Funeral services for Ellar L. Hewitt, 88, who passed away on April 16, 2016, were held this past Thursday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Hewitt was born in Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, the late Ray V.
