Mrs. Ellen Boyle Blottman, 85 of Keystone Heights died Thurs. , July 22, 2010 in Jacksonville. Mrs. Blottman was born on Jan. 14, 1925 in Evanston, IL to the late James and Vera Boyle. She had moved to Jacksonville in 1936 and received her education at St. Pauls School and Jacksonville Junior College. Mrs. Blottman had lived and retired in Keystone Heights where she was a member of the St. William Catholic Church and an active member and past officer of the St. Williams Ladies Guild. She had also served as a volunteer at the Alachua General Hospital and Lake Area Ministries. She was an avid crossword puzzler, competitive scrabble, upwords and Bridge player. She was preceded in death by her husband Capt. L.W. Bill Blottman, USMC Ret. and her sister, Mary Etta Seeba. Mrs. Blottman is survived by her 3 brothers, James (Ouida) Boyle of New Smyrna Beach, John (Anneleise) Boyle of Havana, Jerald (Minna) Boyle of Seminole and one sister, Vera (Mort) Benjamin of Jacksonville. Many nieces and nephews who she considered her Surrogate children, great nieces and nephews and great-grand niece and nephews. A vigil service will be held on Sunday, July 25th at 7 p.m. in the St William Catholic Church in Keystone Heights. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the St. William Catholic Church with Father Mike officiating. Burial will follow with a 2 oclock committal service at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Sisters of St. Joseph, P.O.
