Elmer William Burch, 85 of Gainesville, Died April 29th, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Elmer was born to Wallace and Martha Burch on May 10, 1927 in Micanopy and has spent his entire life in the Gainesville area.Elmer served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. Elmer was a mechanic and it has been said that if it was a mechanical machine he could repair it, no matter what it was.Elmer is survived by his wife Annie, Sons Lester William Burch(Doshie) of Gainesville and Danny Burch(Laverne) of Micanopy, a daughter Terrie Manning(Gary) of Alachua, a brother Dailey Burch(Kate) of Micanopy, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.Funeral Services for Mr. Burch will be Graveside in Millwood Cemetery, Reddick, FL, at 11:00am on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013, with Military honors to follow.
