Mrs. Elmira Elizabeth Geest age 92, of Starke passed away on Friday November 18, 2016 at Shands Starke. Mrs. Geest was born on October 23, 1924 in Germantown, PA to the late William and Marie (Diebel) Mier. She moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1968 from Cherry Hill, New Jersey and moved to Starke in 1990. Elmira was the owner and operator of a pool maintenance company while in Fort Lauderdale and enjoyed watching football and golf. Survivors are her daughter: Myra Brown of Starke, son: Richard "Rick" Geest of Pennsauken, NJ, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of choice. Private services were held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home of Starke 904-964-6200 www.jonesgallagherfh.com.
