Elois Ashworth Touchton

Elois Ashworth Touchton born April 29, 1931, died April 4, 2017 in Jacksonville, FL. She was the youngest daughter of Charlie Harvey Ashworth and Mary Cassada Ashworth. She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA. Moved to Caswell County (Elon College), North Carolina with her family at an early age. Elois attended Bartlett Yancey High School, Yanceyville, NC.; and had one son from her first marriage: Don Christopher Webster, who resides in Phoenix, Arizona. After schooling she worked in insurance and long haul trucking. While working in her agency she met Gordon Touchton, who was living in Los Angeles, CA. She left her agency and moved to Los Angeles. They were married in Las Vegas, NV on January 1980. When he retired they moved to Jacksonville, FL where he had lived all of his life. She worked at Barnett Bank and retired in 1990. She and Gordon traveled everywhere together. Mrs. Touchton was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers and 3 sisters. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at the Franklin Street Baptist Church, 2521 Franklin St, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with reverend Harris Touchton and Pastor Terry Gore officiating.
