Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eloise S. Walker, who departed this life on February 13, 2026, at the age of 93. Born November 8, 1932, in Opp, Alabama, Eloise was the daughter of Lum and Lillie Stewart. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Howard A. Walker.

Eloise was a beloved mother of two daughters, Beverly Polk and her husband Ronnie, and Julie Chambers and her husband Thurmond. Known to many as "Doodle," she was also a proud "Nene" to Canae Baugher and her husband Shan, Heather McCulley and her husband Colby, Chase Chambers and his wife Lacey, and Chelsea Williams and her husband Jacob. Eloise was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Gavin Baugher, Hayden McCulley, Parker McCulley, Reagan Chambers, Walker Chambers, Aaron Williams, and Eliza Williams. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Catherine Bruce; her niece, Mary Jo Hancock and her husband Rex; and many great-nieces and nephews.

A faithful member of the High Springs Church of Christ, Eloise will be remembered for her gift of baking, her love of working in the yard, and the steady warmth she brought to those around her. Time spent with family was especially treasured, and Eloise and Howard enjoyed going to Gator games and making memories with their grandchildren. Eloise retired from Gates and GE as a lab technician in the battery industry, and lived with a spirit marked by love, loyalty, dedication, and unwavering strength.

A funeral service to celebrate Doodle's life will be held at the High Springs Church of Christ on February 19, 2026. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects as we honor a remarkable life and a legacy of kindness and wisdom that touched many.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Florida Bible Camp, P.O. Box 9, High Springs Fl 32655 or a trusted Alzheimer's research organization of your choice. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.
