Mrs. Elsie Mae UnderhillMrs. Elsie Mae Underhill age 95, of Starke passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Underhill was born in Starke on August 12, 1916 to the late Mathey and Stella Robinson Rhoden and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church and a retired Cattle Rancher. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Rodman U. Underhill, Sr. Survivors are her sons: Rodman Underhill, Jr. (Gloria) of Keystone Heights and Robert C. Underhill (Sylvia) of Starke; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL, 620 E. Nona St. in Starke from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 oclock on Monday, November 21, 2011. Interment will follow services in Dyal Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Reddish officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
