It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Elton Jess Hearn, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 73. Born in Miami, Florida, Elton grew up in an era that shaped his strong values and work ethic, going on to earn a Bachelor's Degree before dedicating himself to a career as a Waste Water Operator in the beverage industry, with the Coors Corp. in Colorado.Elton's life was marked by a commitment to family and community. He is survived by his cherished wife, Deborah Hearn, and his 5 children Seth Hearn (Alex), James Hearn, Tracy Clark ( Billy Weber), Shelly Smith (Brian), and Trish Bogle (Dennis). Each of his children, as well as his grandchildrenAmber Oleskevich, Dylan Hearn, Zack Hearn, Dominick Haiges, Kaytlin Smith, Dylan Smith, Ashley Carty, and Austin Hosswill carry fond memories of their grandfather's kind spirit, unwavering support, and gentle humor. Elton also celebrated the joy of being a great-grandfather to nine precious great-grandchildren, who filled his later years with laughter and love.In honoring Elton's memory, a Memorial Visiting will be at 12 pm, Wednesday, March 12, 2025. at Lake Asbury Baptist Church, 2674 Henley Rd. Green Cove Springs, FL. A prayer service will follow at 1 pm.
