Elvin Henry Ward Funeral services for Elvin Henry Ward, 83, who passed away on March 14, 2013, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Jacksonville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 7951 Lenox Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32221, with Pastor Mike Miller and Pastor Jonathan Peinardo officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 (904)355-9545. Mr. Ward was born in Georgetown, South Carolina, resided in Lawtey, Florida prior to moving to Jacksonville, many years ago. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. A Mechanic by trade he worked for Vining Bros. Automotive. He was a member of Jacksonville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Ada Eye Ward and son, Gary Ward. He found love again, married and is survived by his wife of the past 22 years, Patricia A.
