Era Lee Baxter - Era Lee Baxter, 93, passed away February 23, 2014. She was born March 13, 1920 in Pierson, Georgia and married Ravinell D. Baxter, on Oct. 17, 1936. Era was the most kind and gentle woman and will be cherished by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star. Era is survived by her son Donald and daughter Dorothy, and daughter-in-law Penny along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Ravinell D. Baxter, Sr.; two sons, Lamar and Ravinell, Jr.; and granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Baxter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 28th in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South.
