Mrs. Eraine Genest Sabo, 77 of Keystone Heights passed away at her home on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, surrounded by her family following an extended illness. Mrs. Sabo was born on August 3, 1933 in Waterbury, CT to the late Alexander H. and Florence M. (Hebert) Genest and had been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1978 moving from Connecticut. She was a State Representative of Connecticut from 1958-1960, and also the secretary and treasurer for the former Sabos Restaurant of Keystone Heights. Mrs. Sabo was a parishioner of the St. William Catholic Church, member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 202 and V.F.W. of Interlachen. Mrs. Sabo was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Sabo, Sr. their granddaughter, Raquel M. Sabo, and Mrs. Sabos brother, Leroy Genest. Her survivors include her daughters, Beverly Sabo Allen of Connecticut, Alison Broadway of Keystone Heights, Kristen Savell of Aiken, SC; sons, Robert Sabo, Jr. and Mark Sabo both of Keystone Heights; siblings, Robert Genest of Juno, FL, Edmond H. Genest of Loysburg, PA., Paul A. Genest of New Smyrna, FL and Dolories B. Dixon of Miami, FL. 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at the St. William Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mike Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that contributions please be made to the St. Judes or the American Arthritis Foundation. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Prospect, CT at a time to be announced. Burial will be at a later date.
