Eric Bernerd Proffitt, age 28, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was born November 30, 1985 in Santa Rosa, CA.Eric received the world with an open heart, giving love and acceptance to those he encountered on his journey. With compassion and humor, he shared his joy and love with family and friends. He was a light that will be missed dearly.He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Isabella Proffitt, his siblings, Blake and Abby Ruegg, his mother, Beth Ruegg, and his grandparents, Elizabeth and Vince Kettering.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis House.Visitation will be at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville on Friday, May 16 from 6-8 PM and a funeral service will be at the funeral home Saturday, May 17 at 3:00 PM.
