Erma Eleanore Pollard

Mrs. Erma Eleanore Pollard, age 85, a longtime resident of Starke passed away at Shands at Starke Hospital, Monday, October 12, 2015. She was born in Bradford County on April 6, 1930 to the late Edward "Ed" and Vida (Beasley) Dyal. Mrs. Pollard was a Cosmetologist for 40 years before her retirement. She was a great Christian woman and a faithful member of Sampson City Church of God; she loved singing and her Christianity. When she was able, she enjoyed working in her flower garden but most of all she loved taking care of and loving her beautiful grandchildren. Mrs. Pollard was also lovingly known as "Peanut" at the Windsor Manor Nursing Home where she made many close and dear friends. Preceding her in death was her husband of 52 years, Mr. J.T. Pollard. Her survivors are her two daughters, Janelle Reese and husband Joey of Starke along with Lynn Muldrow and her husband Larry of Ocala. Also left behind are her two grandchildren and their spouses, Rhonda Walters (Greg) of Ocala and Jon Reese (Mary) of New Hampshire; Five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Sampson City Church of God with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m..
