Mrs. Estelle Theresa Danyus, 95, widow of Nicholas Danyus, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on April 12, 1927 to Helen and James Traina. A retired administrator from Florida Junior College, Mrs. Danyus was very active within her Church and was co-founder of Nicks Pizza at Jacksonville Beach in 1953. She was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Barbosa and two brothers, Roy Traina and James "Chic" Traina. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Danyus Skow (Joe) of Jacksonville and Carol Danyus Blakewood (Bruce) of Lafayette, LA; 5 sons, Michael Danyus (Debra) of Jacksonville, James Danyus (Donna) of Mountain City, TN, Charles Danyus (Debra) of Gulfport, MS, Nick Danyus (Denise) of Jacksonville and Richard Danyus of Lake City, FL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with Dr. Terry N. Collins of Southpoint Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society..
