Estelle Smith Ivey, 92, passed away on January 10, 2015, after a brief illness. Born in Bladenboro, NC, she has resided in Jacksonville most of her adult life. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jason Woodrow Ivey. Estelle loved music all of her life, whether singing in the church chair or singing hymns as family and friends gather around the piano. Survivors include two sons, Tim Ivey (Janis), Columbia, SC, and Ron Ivey (Sharon) Jacksonville; One daughter, Judy Ivey Senen (Joe), Hendersonville, TN, and Gretchen Ivey, Columbia, SC. She loved and cherished her grandchildren, Robb Ivey, Dallas, TX, Jana Willers (Dave), Raleigh, NC, Paul Ivey (Emily), Jason Ivey (Shannon), both of Jacksonville, and Micah Senen, Ft. Myers, FL; Four great-grandchildren, Ivey and Amanda Willers, Abigail and Sawyer Ivey; also two devoted sisters, Arlene Yates (Jack), Chadbourn, NC, and Lora Stephens, Bladenboro, NC. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and the Faith II Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 PM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 (904)355-9545, with Rev. Ray Mayfield and Bro. Don Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
