Estelle Moulton Shelton, 96, died July 10, 2018 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida.She was born February 17, 1922, during a blizzard in Augusta, Maine. When she was 7 years of age, the family moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida, and later to Jacksonville, where she graduated from Andrew Jackson High School.Estelle was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Woodrow W. Shelton; her parents, Avis and Lawrence Moulton, and her brother Herbert Moulton.She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Tom) Dixon of Germantown, TN, and her son Jeffrey (Karen) Shelton; six granddaughters: Karen (David) Jackson, Julie Roberts, Apryl Shelton, Abby (Adam) Guyer, Hannah Shelton, and Clara Shelton; five great-grandchildren: Kaloeb Parker, Madeline Jackson, Ava Jackson, Reed Guyer, and Rhys Guyer; her sister Barbara Moulton of Rochester, MN; and her friend of 78 years, Alice Snead of Austin, TX.A lifelong Methodist, Estelle was a member of Garden City United Methodist Church at the time of her death. She served in many leadership roles over the years, including Church Treasurer and UMW President. She loved her family, reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, and jigsaw puzzles.Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, July 17 at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 N Main St., with Pastor Alan Patz officiating.
