Esther Lorene Dye passed away on November 25, 2020. Her earthly journey began January 15, 1922 in Eads, Colorado. Her parents, Harry S. Kelley and Bessie Buck Kelley, together with their three daughters spent years in Colorado until 1936 when the Colorado dust storms forced them to relocate to the Midwest.On August 5, 1937, Esther married Clifford Dye of Ava, Missouri. Three sons were born of this union: Glenn Dye (Betty), Terry Dye and Tony Dye (Julie).An active member of Ava General Baptist Church, Esther was also instrumental in the development of the Douglas County Museum. In 2004, Esther elected to make her home in Jacksonville, Florida,Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bessie Kelley, her sister, Opal Rippee, her husband, Clifford Dye, two sons, Glenn and Terry and her daughter-in-law, Betty Dye. Surviving Esther are her son, Tony Dye (Julie), Jacksonville, Florida, nine grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren and a sister, Alice Tourville, Springfield, Missouri.Jacksonville services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son funeral home 4140 University Blvd South, Jacksonville. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 to 2:00 with services to follow at 2:00.Esther will be laid to rest in Ava Missouri Cemetery beside her husband and son, Terry. Services will be held at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, 407 N. Mansfield Road, Ava, Missouri. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 to 1:00 with services to follow at 1:00 p.m..VisitationGeorge H.
