Burial will take place at the Jacksonville National Cemetery following the service at 12:30PM. Born on June 25, 1927 in Norton, Virginia Gene died on October 5, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida. A dear husband and father he is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ruth I. Edens. He is also survived by his #1 son Gary Edens and his #1 daughter Angela Edens Flit. He is also survived by his brothers; Don Edens, Fred Edens and Kenneth Edens. He is also survived by his four grandchildren who loved and adored him; Justin Flit, Shelly Edens, Olivia Watson (Flit) and Daina Edens.
